Experience

3–5 Years in operating drilling or radial drilling machines in a manufacturing or engineering industry.

Qualification

- ITI (Fitter/Machinist/Turner) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Equivalent experience may also be considered.

Job Purpose

To operate drilling and radial drilling machines for producing precision holes, tapping, reaming, and other machining operations as per engineering drawings while ensuring quality, safety, and production targets.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate conventional drilling and radial drilling machines safely and efficiently.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, process sheets, and work instructions.
- Perform drilling, reaming, tapping, countersinking, counterboring, and spot-facing operations.
- Select suitable drill bits, reamers, taps, and cutting tools based on job requirements.
- Set up and align workpieces using vices, clamps, jigs, and fixtures.
- Check dimensions using measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, and bore gauges.
- Maintain specified tolerances and surface finish as per drawing requirements.
- Monitor machine performance and report any abnormalities or breakdowns.
- Carry out routine machine cleaning, lubrication, and basic preventive maintenance.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of tools and materials.




- Follow production schedules and achieve daily production targets.
- Maintain workplace cleanliness as per 5S standards.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and use PPE at all times.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Production teams to resolve machining issues.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of conventional drilling and radial drilling machine operations.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T; basics.
- Knowledge of drilling speeds, feeds, and cutting tool selection.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments.
- Understanding of machining tolerances and quality requirements.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Teamwork and discipline in a production setting.

Safety Requirements

- Mandatory use of PPE (Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Ear Protection, etc.).
- Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures where applicable.
- Report unsafe conditions, near misses, and incidents immediately.
- Comply with all company safety policies and statutory requirements.

Preferred Experience

- Experience in fabrication, heavy engineering, construction equipment, or automotive manufacturing industries.
- Exposure to production target-based manufacturing.

Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
