Job Summary

The Factory Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end manufacturing process of furniture products, ensuring effective production, high-quality output, cost control, and timely delivery. This role involves managing production teams, optimizing processes, and maintaining safety and compliance standards within the factory.

Key Responsibilities: Production Management

- Plan, organize, and manage daily production activities for furniture manufacturing.
- Ensure production targets are met in terms of quantity, quality, and timelines.
- Monitor workflow, schedules, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency.

Team Leadership

- Supervise and lead production staff, including carpenters, machine operators, and supervisors.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate team performance.
- Foster a positive and disciplined work environment.

Quality Control

- Ensure all furniture products meet quality standards and specifications.
- Implement quality control processes and conduct regular inspections.
- Address defects and implement corrective actions.

Process Improvement

- Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency and reduce waste.
- Implement lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Optimize machinery usage and production methods.

Inventory & Materials Management

- Coordinate with procurement to ensure availability of raw materials (wood, hardware, finishes).




- Monitor inventory levels and minimize shortages or overstocking.
- Reduce material wastage and improve utilization.

Health & Safety Compliance

- Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and regulations.
- Conduct safety training and enforce safety protocols.
- Maintain clean and organized factory environment.

Maintenance Coordination

- Oversee maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime.

Reporting & Documentation

- Track production metrics and prepare regular reports (output, efficiency, downtime).
- Maintain documentation related to production, quality, and safety.

Key Skills & Competencies

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering (preferred)
- 3–10 years of experience in furniture manufacturing or related industry
- Proven experience in managing factory production operations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
