Job Title: Mechanical Engineer – API Pharma PlantJob Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to oversee the maintenance, operation, installation, and reliability of mechanical equipment in an API pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth plant operations, minimizing downtime, and maintaining compliance with GMP, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of plant equipment.
- Maintain and troubleshoot reactors, GLRs, SSRs, centrifuges, ANFDs, dryers, vacuum systems, pumps, compressors, and utility equipment.
- Monitor utility systems including boilers, chillers, cooling towers, HVAC, air compressors, and water systems.
- Ensure equipment availability and reliability to support uninterrupted production.
- Prepare maintenance schedules and maintain maintenance records and documentation.
- Coordinate equipment installation, commissioning, qualification, and validation activities.
- Manage spare parts inventory and vendor coordination for maintenance requirements.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, EHS, safety standards,



and statutory regulations.
- Participate in plant audits and support regulatory inspections.
- Monitor maintenance costs and identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reduction.
- Train technicians and operators on equipment handling and maintenance practices.

Qualifications

- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3–6 years of experience in API Pharma, Bulk Drug, Chemical, or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Plants.

Required Skills

- Knowledge of API manufacturing equipment and utilities.
- Understanding of GMP, cGMP, and safety requirements.
- Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance systems.
- Knowledge of pumps, piping systems, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and rotating equipment.
- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with maintenance documentation and ERP systems.

Preferred Experience

- Experience in API/Bulk Drug manufacturing plants.
- Exposure to equipment such as Reactors, GLR, SSR, Centrifuges, ANFD, Nutsche Filters, Vacuum Pumps, Boilers, Chillers, and HVAC systems.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
