About the Role

Factana Computing Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced PLC Engineer to support our industrial automation projects on a part time basis. We are seeking professionals with strong hands-on experience in Rockwell Automation platforms, particularly ControlLogix and CompactLogix PLCs. The ideal candidate should have practical experience in PLC programming, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and supporting automation systems in manufacturing or industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, modify, and maintain PLC programs for industrial automation applications.
- Program, test, and troubleshoot PLC logic using the Rockwell Automation Logix platform.
- Develop automation sequences, machine interlocks, alarms, and process control logic.
- Support PLC testing, commissioning, system validation, and production deployment.
- Troubleshoot PLC-related issues during implementation and customer support activities.
- Collaborate with controls, electrical, and commissioning teams to deliver automation solutions.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, programming standards, and project records.

Required Skills





- Hands-on experience with Rockwell Automation ControlLogix and CompactLogix PLCs.
- Strong programming experience using Studio 5000 Logix Designer.
- Good knowledge of IEC 61131-3 programming languages:
- Ladder Logic (LD)
- Structured Text (ST)
- Function Block Diagram (FBD)
- Sequential Function Chart (SFC)
- Strong understanding of industrial automation systems and machine control logic.
- Experience configuring Digital and Analog I/O.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols including EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP/IP, and OPC UA.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills for PLC applications.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, control schematics, and P&ID; diagrams.
- Experience working with industrial devices such as sensors, actuators, motors, valves, and VFDs.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation, or Mechatronics Engineering.
