Job Description: Supply Chain & Logistics Executive

About the Role

We are a 12+ year-old food production company based in Bangalore. We are seeking a Supply Chain Executive who can take ownership of procurement, vendor management, cost control, and logistics operations. This role is ideal for candidates looking to grow into a Supply Chain Manager role in the near future.

Key Responsibilities

- Vendor Management & Procurement: Identify and manage suppliers for raw materials, packaging, and logistics. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and service agreements to reduce costs. Maintain strong vendor relationships while ensuring quality and reliability.
- Inventory & Cost Control: Monitor stock levels and reorder cycles to avoid shortages/excess. Track material costs and highlight opportunities for cost optimization. Ensure minimal wastage in procurement, storage, and distribution.
- Logistics & Distribution: Coordinate with transporters and 3PL providers for timely delivery. Optimize routes and improve efficiency to reduce freight costs.
- Reporting & MIS: Maintain accurate procurement, vendor performance, and inventory reports. Present weekly MIS on supply chain costs, lead times, and supplier performance.
- Process Improvement:



Suggest cost-saving initiatives in procurement and supply chain processes. Support standardization of SOPs for vendor selection, purchasing, and logistics.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with production, QA, finance, and sales teams to align supply chain with business needs.

Qualifications & Skills

- Graduate in Commerce/Business/Logistics (B.Com, BBA, Diploma/Certification in SCM).
- 2–4 years’ experience in supply chain, procurement, or vendor management.
- Exposure to negotiations, vendor handling, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Knowledge of ERP/Zoho Books preferred.
- Strong Excel skills (MIS, cost tracking, reporting).
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive problem solver.
