Position Summary

Women’s World Banking is looking for a senior team member with at least 10 years of experience to join a forward thinking, cross-functional, high-performing, collaborative team focused on delivering innovative customer experiences, banking services, and products that create business and customer value to serve low-income women.

In this role, you will manage a bouquet of advisory projects independently – this will include relationship management, project management and designing women centered solutions for low-income women. Projects may vary in number, size, and complexity.

The ideal candidate has either:

- Credible experience in working with leading financial service providers, especially in credit products & roles (policy, underwriting, operations & collections) OR

- Credible experience in working as a management consultant on projects in financial services, financial inclusion, or development fields.

You must be a strategic thinker who understands and drives the business case for financial service providers to deliver inclusive financial solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities

Design of financial solutions (including credit solutions) in the space of savings, micro –credit, micro-insurance, digital financial services, or last mile solutions for low income women that are viable and scalable for financial service providers:

- Develop a research-based perspective on financial products for low-income women, including the current context, key challenges, emerging trends, and solutions to increase financial inclusion in the sector.
- Develop business cases for new product and product enhancements to enable prioritization and justify investments into new and existing products.
- Conduct industry assessments through stakeholder connections to provide detailed insights into the competitive landscape in the sector that can help define solutions.
- Establish relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business and customer needs, continually enhance project processes, service offering and delivery for partners.

Conceptualization, design & delivery of large-scale programs across various initiatives,



locations and stakeholders such that solutions designed are implemented at scale and embedded within the ecosystem for impact.

- Conceptualize large scale delivery programs with financial service providers, government bodies, policy makers etc. for national level rollout & scale.
- Develop strong partnerships and mechanisms to implement projects in the field across multiple geographies and last mile channels. This also includes external support organizations such as last mile agencies (training, sales promotions etc.) and local government bodies (state / region level) to drive project success.
- Establish relationships and work with a cross-functional teams (internal and partner banks’) to ensure timely delivery of milestones.
- Lead project management including the development, delivery and monitoring of work plans, milestones, targets, budgets, and both internal and external reporting. Projects may vary in number, size and complexity.

Mange and deepen relationships with institutional partners

- Develop, and drive execution of high priority business initiatives, financial products and services for the partner FSPs
- Establish and maintain positive and constructive relationships with key client contacts
- Initiate and handhold the project through all stages

Ensure positive client satisfaction results

- Influence senior management at existing partner institutions to act on insights and data from the field and bring in technical expertise to support key conversations.
- Be the “voice of the clients” by interpreting the clients’ business plans and strategic intent into Women’s World Banking
- Deepen relationships with existing financial services partners and provide expertise that helps build new relationships and alliances

Required Qualifications

- MBA or Master’s degree in related field
- 10+ years or more experience in banking, financial services, consulting, or other relevant role
- Demonstrated experience influencing senior stakeholders (e.g., CXO-level or business heads) to drive adoption of new products, policies,



or program changes
- Must be willing to travel extensively within India and be on-site for extended durations

Preferred Qualifications

- Direct experience in the credit product lifecycle (e.g., underwriting, portfolio management, collections, operations)
- Interest in the field of women’s financial inclusion and economic empowerment
- Demonstrated ability to execute and successfully manage multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Measure of Success

Within the first 75 days:

- Assume full responsibility of the position; which includes ownership of 1–2 active projects with defined deliverables and leading client interaction or project updates
- Producing an initial analysis or business case / concept note for a partner
