OVERVIEW - POSITION - MEDICAL TYPIST A Medical Transcription Typing Accurately type and transcribe medical reports dictated by doctors including OPD notes IPD case papers Discharge summaries Operative notes Progress notes Referral letters Convert handwritten medical notes into clear error-free digital documents Ensure correct usage of medical terminology abbreviations and formats Proofread all documents for accuracy grammar and completeness before final submission B Documentation Medical Records Prepare and maintain patient medical records in physical and electronic formats Ensure timely completion of discharge summaries and medical reports Organize file and retrieve medical documents as required Maintain confidentiality of patient data and hospital records C Hospital Software Digital Systems Enter patient data into HIS EMR systems accurately Update patient information diagnosis procedures and treatment details Generate and print medical reports prescriptions and summaries Coordinate with IT HR in case of system or software issues D Coordination with Doctors Clinical Staff Work closely with consultants RMOs and nursing staff for report completion Clarify unclear dictation or handwriting with concerned doctors Ensure documents are ready as per doctor timelines and patient discharge schedules Support clinical teams during peak OPD and IPD hours E Compliance NABH Requirements Follow NABH standards related to documentation and medical records Ensure use of approved hospital formats and templates Maintain accuracy for legal insurance and audit purposes Assist during NABH audits internal audits and inspections F Confidentiality Ethics Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information Adhere to hospital data protection and privacy policies Avoid unauthorized access or disclosure of medical records G Quality Accuracy Control Ensure error-free typing with minimal corrections Maintain high typing speed with accuracy Follow standard medical formatting and documentation guidelines Report discrepancies or missing information to the concerned authority H Required Skills Qualifications Graduate Diploma in Medical Transcription or Typing Knowledge of medical terminology Valuable typing speed and computer proficiency Familiarity with hospital software EMR Attention to detail and confidentiality Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay 25 000 00 - 28 000 00 per month Work Location In person
