Job Description – Manager Engineering (Amritsar)

Experience: 10+ Years

Key Technical Skills

- Mold/Machine Maintenance & Tooling: Expertise in maintaining hot runner molds, multi-cavity injection molds, and managing tool room operations (e.g., surface grinders, EDM, milling).
- SPM Knowledge: Hands-on experience with automated assembly lines, robotic welding, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, including PLC/HMI troubleshooting (Siemens, Delta, Mitsubishi).
- Preventive/Predictive Maintenance (PM/PDM): Ability to develop and implement preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance schedules to ensure machine uptime and longevity.
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Proficiency in troubleshooting to identify the root cause of defects (moulding defects, mechanical failures) rather than just treating symptoms.
- Process Improvement: Familiarity with lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and reducing cycle times.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintaining ISO 9000-2000 standards, machine history, and compliance with safety regulations.

Leadership & Managerial Skills

- Team Leadership: Managing, training,



and engaging technicians and toolmakers.
- Resource & Asset Management: Budgeting for maintenance expenses, spare parts inventory management, and selecting vendors for AMCs.
- Strategic Planning: Scheduling maintenance to align with production, minimizing downtime, and planning for machine overhauls.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforcing OSHA/safety protocols, particularly when dealing with high-pressure hydraulic molding machinery.

Soft Skills

- Problem-Solving: Ability to handle high-pressure situations and resolve technical issues quickly.
- Communication: Effective communication with production, quality departments, and external vendors.
- Adaptability: Ability to handle rapidly changing technology and custom-engineered machines.

Qualifications

- Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
- At least 5+ years of experience, preferably in high-speed, multi-cavity hot runner injection molding and automation industries.
