Job Title GPS Tracking Officer Immediate Joiner Department Operations Reports To Operation Manager Location Chennai Experience 1 to 3 Years Job Summary The GPS Tracking Officer is responsible for monitoring company vehicles using GPS tracking systems to ensure protected efficient and compliant transportation operations This role focuses on real-time vehicle tracking route optimization driver behavior monitoring and reporting to improve fleet performance and reduce operational risks Key Responsibilities Monitor company vehicles in real time using GPS tracking software Track vehicle routes speed stops fuel usage and idle time Ensure drivers follow assigned routes schedules and company policies Identify and report unauthorized vehicle use route deviations or delays Communicate with drivers regarding route issues emergencies or operational updates Generate daily weekly and monthly GPS and fleet performance reports Maintain accurate GPS records trip logs and vehicle movement history Assist in optimizing routes to reduce fuel consumption and delivery time Report vehicle breakdowns accidents or suspicious activities immediately Coordinate with fleet dispatch and maintenance teams Ensure GPS devices are functioning properly and report technical issues Support compliance with safety regulatory and company standards Required Qualifications High school diploma or bachelor s degree in logistics transportation or a related field Previous experience in fleet monitoring dispatch or GPS tracking preferred Knowledge of GPS tracking systems and fleet management software Basic computer skills MS Excel email reporting tools Valuable communication and coordination skills Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Skills Competencies Real-time monitoring and multitasking Analytical and reporting skills Time management and decision-making Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies Understanding of transportation routes and traffic patterns Working Conditions Office-based or control-room environment May require shift work including nights or weekends Continuous monitoring of screens and systems Performance Indicators Reduction in route deviations and unauthorized vehicle usage Improved on-time delivery performance Accurate and timely GPS reporting Improved fuel efficiency and driver compliance Job Types Full time Permanent Pay 18 000 00 - 23 000 00 per month Benefits Cell phone reimbursement Health insurance Provident Fund Work Location In person
