We are seeking a Business Data Modeler to join our client in the consulting industry In this role you will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams translating business data requirements into robust data models and solutions on the Azure Databricks platform You will design implement and optimize data models that enable analytics reporting and data-driven decision-making Responsibilities Requirements Analysis Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document data requirements business rules and analytics objectives Data Modeling Design develop and maintain logical and physical data models within the Azure Databricks environment ensuring scalability and performance Solution Design Translate business requirements into technical specifications and data solutions using Databricks features e g Delta Lake notebooks MLflow Data Quality Governance Establish and enforce data quality consistency and governance standards including data lineage and security Data Architecture Define and implement best practices for data integration storage and governance strategies Collaboration Partner with data engineers data scientists BI developers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless implementation of data models Documentation Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data models data flows and business rules Performance Optimization Analyze and optimize data models and queries for performance and cost efficiency within Azure Databricks Continuous Improvement Stay current with industry trends best practices and emerging technologies in data modeling and cloud analytics Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science Information Systems Data Science or a related field 5 years of experience in data modeling business analysis or related roles preferably in a cloud environment Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks Delta Lake and other Azure data services Data Lake Synapse etc Proficiency in SQL and data modeling tools Strong understanding of data warehousing ETL ELT processes and data architecture principles Experience with data governance data quality and data security best practices Excellent communication documentation and stakeholder management skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced collaborative workplace Preferred Skills Experience with SAP HANA including data integration and management Experience with Python Spark or Scala in Databricks Familiarity with data visualization tools e g Power BI Tableau Knowledge of machine learning workflows and MLflow Experience in Agile or Scrum environments Location Fully Remote Duration 6 Months Strong Possibility of Extension
