Position Technical Purchase Assistant Department Purchase Company Indiano Chrome Private Limited Location Insert Location Compensation 5 0 - 7 0 LPA Experience 5 - 6 Years About Indiano Chrome Private Limited Indiano Chrome Private Limited is a leading player in the manufacturing industry specializing in steel pipe and allied sectors With a solid focus on quality efficiency and innovation we are committed to delivering excellence in our operations We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Technical Purchase Assistant to join our procurement team Role Overview The Technical Purchase Assistant will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process of spares consumables equipment and project-related materials The role requires strong technical knowledge to evaluate requirements source appropriate materials and ensure timely availability through efficient vendor management and expediting processes The ideal candidate should have prior experience in manufacturing industries preferably in steel or pipe manufacturing Key Responsibilities Manage procurement of spares consumables equipment and project-related materials in line with production and maintenance needs Expedite purchase processes to ensure uninterrupted supply of critical materials Review and evaluate technical specifications drawings and BOMs to source appropriate materials Prepare and issue RFQs purchase orders and contracts as per company guidelines Develop and maintain a reliable vendor database especially for engineering and steel-related supplies Conduct vendor negotiations for cost-effectiveness quality and timely deliveries Track delivery schedules and resolve any supply chain delays through follow-ups Ensure accurate documentation including purchase orders GRNs inspection reports and invoices Coordinate with maintenance production and stores teams to understand requirements and align procurement activities Monitor and review inventory levels to avoid stockouts or overstocking Identify opportunities for cost reduction alternate sourcing and process improvement Key Skills Competencies Strong technical knowledge of mechanical electrical and consumable spares in manufacturing steel plants Ability to read and interpret technical drawings specifications and datasheets Excellent understanding of procurement processes vendor development and commercial terms Strong negotiation communication and documentation skills Proficiency in SAP ERP systems MS Office for procurement and reporting Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills under time-sensitive situations Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams Qualifications Experience B E B Tech Diploma in Mechanical Electrical Production Engineering preferred MBA in Supply Chain Materials Management will be an added advantage 5 - 6 years of proven experience in technical procurement vendor management and project procurement preferably in manufacturing steel industries Key Performance Indicators KPIs Cost savings achieved through negotiation and alternate sourcing Reduction in procurement cycle time Vendor performance in terms of quality delivery reliability and flexibility Accuracy and completeness of procurement documentation Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay 30 000 00 - 45 000 00 per month Work Location In person
