JOB DISCRIPTION We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Scrub Nurse to join our surgical team The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing the operating room ensuring surgical instruments and supplies are sterile and ready and assisting surgeons during operative procedures This role is crucial in maintaining a safe sterile environment and ensuring the smooth operation of surgical interventions Roles and Responsibilities Prepare the operating room before surgery by ensuring all surgical instruments and equipment are sterilized and set up correctly Assist the surgical team during procedures by handing instruments sponges and other sterile supplies as needed Maintain strict aseptic technique to prevent contamination and infection Monitor and manage the surgical field anticipating the needs of the surgeon and other team members Count instruments sponges and other tools before and after surgery to ensure nothing is left inside the patient Collaborate with circulating nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care Assist with patient positioning and surgical site preparation Ensure proper handling and disposal of biohazardous materials and used surgical instruments Document surgical procedures including supplies used and any unusual events during surgery Maintain a high level of knowledge about surgical procedures instruments and infection control practices Qualifications Registered Nurse RN license with a valid practicing certificate Prior experience as a Scrub Nurse or in a perioperative setting is preferred Certification in perioperative nursing CNOR is an advantage Solid knowledge of surgical instruments procedures and sterile techniques Excellent organizational skills attention to detail and ability to remain calm under pressure Job Types Full-time Permanent Work Location In person
