ABOUT THE HANS FOUNDATION The Hans Foundation THF established in 2009 is a Public Charitable Trust that works towards creating an equitable society to enhance quality of life for all through the empowerment of marginalized and underprivileged communities in India The Hans Foundation works for the Health and Wellbeing of remote and under-served groups with an additional focus on children persons with disabilities and women THF also works for holistic Education and Livelihood development of our communities Our Two-Fold Strategy involves identifying and working within Aspirational Districts and high poverty index in the North North-East and East regions within specific states as well as catering to lower-income and migratory populations in cities through urban programs Over its 15 years of existence THF has reached more than 35 million beneficiaries through its programs THF works with communities through direct implementation of projects on the ground in addition to providing local management and monitoring support to not-for-profit organisations in India funded through THF USA and RIST PROJECT OVERVIEW HRCC Hans Renal Care Program is running successfully in the state of Uttarakhand Himachal Pradesh Punjab and Uttar Pradesh There is a dire need for such an initiative in the North East Region although the Central Govt has already started implementing Pradhan Mantri National Dialysis Programme PMNDP in the six northeastern states Assam Arunachal Pradesh Manipur Meghalaya Mizoram and Nagaland However it is not enough in light of the rising cases of CKD and access of people to the services In state of Meghalaya three out of 11 district hospitals are implementing the PMNDP While the state government is striving to cover the districts with dialysis centers still the patients from poor segment and unprivileged community are not getting benefitted due to inability to afford care The main objective of the program is to provide renal care services to needy people who don t have access to quality services Initially five centers are proposed to be started consisting three hemodialysis machines in each center The arrangements like minor repair renovation and refurbishment of the infrastructure will be taken care of by THF All manpower including doctor technicians nurses ward boys and support staff will be placed in each center These HRCCs will serve the purpose of improving their overall wellbeing by increasing access to the renal care services and reducing a substantial cost GENERALLocation of Job Uparhali AssamType of Employment Contractual for a period of one year renewable basis of performance and project requirementsNo of Position 1Reporting to Project Coordinator 1 KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES The key responsibilities of this position are as given below Provide assistance to patients for maintenance of hygiene and related activities Providing patients with meals on time Dealing with patients request Following centres rules and operating procedures Making all facilities and help available to patients under their care Helping nursing and medical staff when required Organising medicines logs and reports of patients Making sure that all possible comforts for patients are looked after Assist Staff 2 Other Indicative RequirementsEducational Qualifications12th Intermediate 3 Functional Technical Skills and Relevant Experience Other requirements Behavioural Language Certifications etc 0-2 years of experience in healthcare with good knowledge and skills Positive Communication Skills Willingness to travel extensively in remote areas THF is an equal opportunity employer that encourages women people with disabilities and those from economically and socially excluded communities with the requisite skills and qualifications to apply for positions We do not discriminate in employment on the basis of caste creed religion sex sexual orientation marital status disability or any other such matter
