Job Purpose To lead and manage the procurement function for raw materials components and services required in transformer manufacturing ensuring cost-effectiveness quality and timely availability Key Responsibilities Strategic Procurement Develop and implement sourcing strategies for critical transformer materials like CRGO copper transformer oil bushings insulators radiators tanks core materials and hardware Identify and onboard reliable vendors suppliers with strong quality and compliance track record Vendor Management Negotiate contracts payment terms and delivery schedules with suppliers Evaluate vendor performance based on quality cost and delivery Maintain long-term relationships with strategic suppliers Cost Budget Control Ensure cost optimization through effective negotiations and alternate sourcing Monitor purchase budgets and contribute to cost-saving initiatives Operational Procurement Release purchase orders track delivery timelines and coordinate with production stores for material requirements Ensure timely availability of raw materials and bought-out items to avoid production delays Compliance Documentation Ensure compliance with company policies statutory regulations and quality standards ISO BIS etc Maintain accurate procurement records purchase order files and vendor documents Cross-functional Coordination Collaborate with Design Production Quality and Finance teams for smooth execution of projects Support new product development NPD by sourcing recent components materials Market Intelligence Track market trends raw material price fluctuations and competitor sourcing strategies Explore opportunities for imports exports and global sourcing Key Skills Competencies Strong knowledge of transformer industry materials and components Expertise in strategic sourcing vendor negotiations and cost reduction Proficiency in ERP systems SAP Oracle Tally or similar Excellent communication analytical and leadership skills Strong understanding of commercial terms contracts and logistics Qualifications Experience Bachelor s Degree in Electrical Mechanical Engineering or Supply Chain Management preferred MBA PGDM in Supply Chain or Materials Management is an advantage 2-4 years of experience in procurement within the transformer or heavy electrical equipment industry Proven track record of handling large-volume purchases and vendor development place diversity Job Type Full-time Pay 30 000 00 - 50 000 00 per month Benefits Provident Fund Willingness to travel 75 Preferred Work Location In person
