ROLE

Academic Associate

As an Academic Associate (AA) in History, you will work closely with the History faculty in providing academic support to History major students.

This is a 1‑year full time position with possibility of extension for another year.

Responsibilities

- Work with faculty on two to three undergraduate level courses.
- Prepare and read for the courses and tutorials, including inculcating skills for pedagogic practices suited for a diverse student body.
- Hold tutorial sessions for students and provide additional student mentoring as and when required.
- Assist faculty members organise history club events, seminars, retreats, fieldtrips, outreach, library connect, etc.
- Assist in planning and running the summer program.

As an Academic Associate , you will be able to engage in independent or collaborative research projects under the guidance of faculty members. You will be assigned a faculty mentor who will provide mentorship, feedback,



and support in pursuing independent research projects.

Requirements

- Master’s degree in History
- A young and energetic postgraduate, with a broad-based training in the discipline in terms of periods and regions in History.
- Keen interest in working with undergraduate students from diverse educational contexts.
