Job Summary Responsible for the installation maintenance troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems and components on ships under construction conversion or repair Ensures all electrical work complies with marine standards and safety regulations Key Responsibilities Install inspect and test shipboard electrical systems including power distribution lighting navigation fire detection and communication systems Read and interpret electrical blueprints technical diagrams and wiring schematics Perform cable routing terminations and panel board installations Conduct continuity tests and insulation resistance tests using multimeters and megohmmeters Identify and rectify electrical faults ensuring compliance with classification society requirements Collaborate with engineers foremen and other trades during installation and commissioning Maintain tools equipment and work areas in a safe and clean condition Follow all shipyard safety standards including confined space and lockout tagout procedures Qualifications ITI Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent trade certification Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience in shipbuilding or marine electrical work Knowledge of marine electrical systems and international marine standards e g IEC ABS DNV Ability to work at heights in enclosed spaces and onboard ships under construction Desirable Skills Familiarity with PLCs automation systems and marine switchgear Ability to read and follow technical manuals and engineering drawings Strong problem-solving and team collaboration skills Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay 18 000 00 - 25 000 00 per month Advantages Health insurance Provident Fund Work Location In person
