Job Title Head - Retail Collections Location MumbaiReporting To Chief Risk Officer Position Overview The Head - Retail Collections will be responsible for leading the organization s end-to-end collections strategy execution and performance across secured and unsecured retail portfolios This leadership role demands strong expertise in P L management cost-of-credit optimization legal recoveries and regulatory compliance The incumbent will drive sustainable recovery outcomes while safeguarding asset quality enhancing profitability and ensuring robust governance across all retail loan products Key Responsibilities 1 Strategic Leadership Portfolio Management Lead the pan-India retail collections function across all secured and unsecured products - including SME MSME Supply Chain Microfinance Micro-LAP and Personal Loans Drive strategic direction for collection operations to achieve targeted recovery rates reduce delinquencies and maintain superior asset quality Oversee the Cost of Credit COC Expected Credit Loss ECL and Net Credit Loss NCL metrics with clear profitability and risk objectives Develop and implement data-driven collection strategies leveraging predictive analytics early-warning systems and benchmarking against peer institutions 2 People Organizational Leadership Lead and mentor a large multi-layered collections organization including National Collection Managers Strategy Managers and regional teams Establish a high-performance compliant and customer-centric culture within the collections function Build capabilities in specialized areas such as litigation fraud control and asset disposal through targeted recruitment and training programs 3 Legal Regulatory Compliance Ensure adherence to RBI regulations internal audit standards and governance frameworks Collaborate with legal risk and compliance teams to standardize procedures and mitigate operational legal and reputational risks 4 Governance Reporting Stakeholder Management Present collection performance risk dashboards and portfolio analytics to the Board Risk Committee and CXO leadership Collaborate with Business Risk Operations and Finance for portfolio reviews provisioning and forecasting Ensure transparent reporting and proactive communication with internal and external stakeholders including rating agencies and auditors 6 Strategic Initiatives Manage NPA portfolio sales and restructuring to maximize recovery and optimize balance sheet health Key Deliverables Portfolio recovery rate and reduction in NPA levels Year-on-year improvement in Cost of Credit and ECL 100 compliance in internal external audits and zero RBI observations Productivity enhancement through digital initiatives and analytics adoption Development of a robust future-ready collections organization Desired Candidate Profile Experience 18-25 years in retail secured collections with proven leadership across large-scale NBFCs or Banks Education Graduate Commerce Finance Leadership Traits Strategic vision strong governance orientation analytical mindset and ability to manage large distributed teams Location Flexibility Willingness to travel across India for operational and governance reviews if interested share your CV to nishikumariwikilabs gmail com Job Type Full time Pay 6 000 000 00 - 7 500 000 00 per year Application Question s How many years of experience do you have in Retail Collection What is your current fixed CTC Are you comfortable to relocate to Mumbai for this job or residing in Mumbai How much experience do you have in secured unsecured product collection Work Location In person
