Key Responsibilities
- Market and Account Development
- Identify, profile, and target potential customers in assigned sectors .
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline; forecast revenue and share market insights with leadership.
- Maintain a deep understanding of customer needs, industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory requirements.
- Customer Engagement and Relationship Management
- Engage with C-level, VP, procurement, and technical stakeholders to uncover opportunities and shape solutions.
- Conduct product demonstrations, technical briefings, and value-led conversations.
- Negotiate terms within company policies to maximize profitability while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Proposal and Bid Management
- Lead the end-to-end proposal process from RFP/RFI/RFQ receipt to final submission.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal) to develop responsive, compliant, and competitive bids.
- Develop win themes, value propositions, technical solutions, pricing strategies, risk assessments, and service level agreements.
- Ensure proposals meet customer requirements, standards, and quality expectations; manage revisions and version control.
- Tendering and Contracting
- Prepare tender documents, price quotes, bill of quantities (if applicable), commercial terms, and conditions.
- Coordinate tender bid calendars, submission deadlines, and compliance checks.
- Review and negotiate commercial terms, delivery schedules, warranties, and after-sales support.
- Assist in contract formation, risk assessment, and handover to delivery teams post-award.
- Pricing and Commercial Acumen
- Develop cost models, pricing strategies, and profitability analyses for bids.
- Align pricing with corporate policy,
discounting guidelines, and margin targets.
- Monitor and manage price realization, rebates, and cost variances throughout the sales cycle.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with Engineering/Product Management to translate technical specifications into customer-ready solutions.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain and Manufacturing to ensure feasibility, lead times, and capacity planning.
- Liaise with Legal/Finance for contract terms, approvals, and risk mitigation.
- Proposal Automation and File Management
- Maintain a centralized library of standard templates, case studies, technical data sheets, and compliance documents.
- Utilize CRM and proposal management tools to track opportunities, milestones, and outcomes.
- Ensure all bid documentation is accurate, complete, and audit-ready.
- Post-Bid Activities
- Support at kick-off meetings, project planning, and transition to delivery teams if awarded.
- Monitor customer satisfaction, participate in post-project reviews, and capture lessons learned.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field.
- Experience:3+ years in sales, proposals, and/or tendering within a manufacturing environment. Experience with complex bids, OEM projects, or large-scale contracts is preferred.
- Industry Knowledge:
Familiarity with our target manufacturing sectors (list sectors) and understanding of manufacturing processes, standards (e.g., ISO), and regulatory considerations.
- Skills:
- Robust proposal writing and presentation skills; ability to craft compelling value propositions.
- Technical aptitude to understand product specifications, manufacturing capabilities, and quality requirements.
- Excellent negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and proposal management tools; MS Office suite; knowledge of ERP systems is a plus.
- Analytical mindset: cost modeling, total cost of ownership (TCO), and price-to-win analysis.

Work Environment and Travel
- Office-based with periodic travel to customer sites, industry events, and supplier facilities as required.
