for a Logistics Manager in the Metal Industry Reports To General Manager Operations Head j Job Summary The Logistics Manager will be responsible for overseeing planning and coordinating the transportation warehousing and distribution of raw materials and finished metal products The role ensures effective supply chain operations cost optimization compliance with industry regulations and timely delivery to customers and stakeholders Key Responsibilities Logistics Supply Chain Management Plan manage and coordinate inbound and outbound logistics for raw materials ore coal scrap alloys and finished metal products Optimize freight shipping routes and modes of transportation to reduce cost and improve efficiency Ensure proper documentation for domestic and international shipments Inventory Warehouse Management Supervise storage handling and movement of materials in warehouses and yards Implement effective inventory management systems to reduce wastage losses and excess stock Coordinate with production and procurement teams for timely material availability Vendor Transport Management Manage relationships with transporters freight forwarders shipping lines and customs agents Negotiate contracts and rates with logistics service providers Monitor vendor performance against agreed KPIs Compliance Safety Ensure compliance with government regulations customs excise and export-import norms Maintain safety standards in logistics operations particularly for handling heavy loads and hazardous materials Implement EHS Environment Health Safety guidelines for transportation and storage Team Leadership Lead and train a team of logistics executives warehouse staff and transport coordinators Set performance goals and monitor KPIs for logistics operations Drive process improvements through technology adoption ERP SAP WMS TMS Reporting Analysis Prepare logistics budgets and control costs effectively Track and report on logistics performance delivery timelines and cost savings Analyze logistics data to identify bottlenecks Job Type Full-time Pay 35 000 00 - 55 000 00 per month Work Location In person
