Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement process standards and guidelines for assembly operations.

- Meet production targets and timelines while ensuring adherence to quality standards.

- Plan and execute production schedules to optimize manpower and material flow.

- Manage and lead a team to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production goals.

- Increase first-pass yield and ensure minimal rework in final vehicle assembly.

- Oversee correct part fitment for domestic and export models.

- Analyze workflow, space utilization, and equipment layout to improve efficiency.

- Provide insights for production cost optimization and process improvement.

- Conduct line balancing, troubleshooting, and resource allocation for smooth operations.

- Review production data, labor, and material costs to forecast future needs.

- Drive 5S, safety compliance, and continuous improvement activities at the shopfloor.

- Collaborate with Quality to analyze rejections and implement corrective actions.

- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports and coordinate with departments for action plans.

- Manage new projects related to layout, infrastructure setup, and process planning.

- Evaluate and integrate recent model designs into existing manufacturing processes.

Technical Skills

- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes — casting, molding, painting, and assembly.





- Hands-on experience in assembly process troubleshooting, CTQ identification, and line balancing.

- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.

- Conversant with in-process inspections and quality audits.

- Skilled in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for data analysis and reporting.

- Knowledge of equipment capability studies and production planning techniques.

- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in a plant environment.

Requirements

- Diploma in Mechanical / Production / Automobile Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience
OR
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Production / Automobile Engineering with 4+ years of experience.

- Proven experience in large-scale manufacturing or automotive assembly operations.

- Ability to verify process correctness and robustness.

- Excellent team management and resource planning skills.

- Strong communication, coordination, and leadership abilities.

- Self-driven, detail-oriented, and able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
