JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title Quenching station specialist Job Location Syngene scientific solutions limited Hyderabad About Syngene Syngene is an innovation-led contract research development and manufacturing organization offering integrated scientific services from early discovery to commercial supply At Syngene safety is at the heart of everything we do personally and professionally Syngene has placed safety at par with business performance with shared responsibility and accountability including following safety guidelines procedures and SOPs in letter and spirit Mandatory expectation for all roles as per Syngene safety guidelines Overall adherence to safe practices and procedures of oneself and the teams aligned Contributing to development of procedures practices and systems that ensures safe operations and compliance to company s integrity quality standards Driving a corporate culture that promotes setting health and safety EHS mindset and operational discipline at the workplace at all times Ensuring safety of self teams and lab plant by adhering to safety protocols and following environment health and safety EHS requirements at all times in the workplace Ensure all assigned mandatory trainings related to data integrity health and safety measures are completed on time by all members of the team including self Compliance to Syngene s quality standards at all times Hold self and their teams accountable for the achievement of safety goals Govern and Review safety metrics from time to time Core Purpose of the Role To follow the established procedures and policies of the company pertaining to quenching station to adhere to safety norms defined Planning and execution of timely quenching of all received materials as per classification defined in SOP with safe manner and waste disposal To ensure proper maintenance of Safety gadgets and system To co-ordinate campaigns competitions contest and other activities which will develop and maintain the interest of the employees in establishing and maintaining safe conditions of work and procedure To implement maintain and continually improve the Work Permit System To coordinate in conducting Emergency Preparedness and Response Mock Drill of CUF To set up short-term and long-term goals for improving EMS to quenching station Hazardous waste and expired chemicals treatment storage and disposal to all OU across the Syngene scientific solutions limited Monitoring of safe disposal of expired aqueous and molar chemicals wastes Establish implement and enforce secure work practices in quenching station To ensure proper maintenance of safety equipment Adopt best practices to reduce the Hazardous waste To implement maintain and continually improve the Work Permit System FAB medicines issuance stock maintaining Fire hydrant fire extinguisher spare stock maintaining documentation Overall BP safety cupboards materials issuance stock maintaining Fixed portable detectors issuance stock maintaining calibration done within timeline Role Accountabilities To develop quenching procedures for hazardous chemicals To identify and report unsafe situations in the quenching station in the portal To support cross functional team for incident investigation process To ensure safety handling of quenching material and equipment Ensure regular preventive maintenance of quenching station equipment as per PM schedule Providing full month quenching station activity data to monthly meeting within timeline To coordinate and utilize the OPEX and Capex budget allocated for quenching station Ensure all quenching station activities well performed as per Standard operating procedures Syngene Values All employees will consistently demonstrate alignment with our core values Excellence Integrity Professionalism Specific requirements for this role Experience Demonstrated Capability Education Experience 0-2 Years Hands-on experience in chemical handling Having experience in lab bulk scale reactions Skills and Capabilities Expertise in handling multiple expression platforms Capable of thinking scientifically to address complex problems and develop solutions Work as a team and have collaborative mindset Good communication skills Education B Sc M Sc in Organic chemistry Equal Opportunity Employer It is the policy of Syngene to provide equal employment opportunity EEO to all persons regardless of age color national origin citizenship status physical or mental disability race religion creed gender sex sexual orientation gender identity and or expression genetic information marital status status with regard to public assistance veteran status or any other characteristic protected by applicable legislation or local law In addition Syngene will provide reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities
