We are looking for more than someone who only writes code. The ideal candidate should understand business processes, communicate with clients, recommend the right Zoho applications, collaborate with the functional team, and convert requirements into scalable and practical solutions.

Role Overview The Zoho Technical Consultant will be responsible for understanding client requirements, identifying suitable Zoho applications, designing workflows, developing custom functions and applications, performing integrations, testing solutions, and supporting successful project delivery.

The candidate must be able to work closely with functional consultants, project managers, developers, migration specialists, and clients.

Key ResponsibilitiesClient Requirement Understanding

Participate in client meetings and requirement-gathering sessions.

Understand the client’s business operations, challenges, approval processes, reporting needs, and expected outcomes.

Ask relevant questions to identify the actual business requirement.

Convert discussions into clear functional and technical requirements.

Identify gaps, risks, dependencies, limitations, and areas requiring clarification.

Ensure development remains aligned with the approved scope of work.

Zoho Solution Recommendation

Identify the most suitable Zoho application or combination of applications for each requirement.

Decide whether the requirement can be managed through standard configuration, workflow automation, integration, or custom development.

Recommend practical, scalable, and cost-effective solutions.

Understand application capabilities, limitations, and technical feasibility.

The candidate should be comfortable working with applications such as Zoho CRM, Zoho Creator, Zoho Books, Zoho Inventory, Zoho Desk, Zoho People, Zoho Projects, Zoho Analytics, Zoho Flow, Zoho Forms, Zoho Sign, Zoho Expense, Zoho WorkDrive, Zoho SalesIQ, Zoho Recruit, and Zoho One.

Expertise in every application is not mandatory. However, the candidate must understand the Zoho ecosystem and be willing to quickly learn new applications based on project requirements.

Workflow Design and Development

Convert business processes into structured workflows and system designs.

Configure modules, fields, layouts, relationships, approval processes, blueprints, validation rules, notifications, schedules, and automation.

Develop custom functions using Zoho Deluge.





Build applications and modules using Zoho Creator.

Develop custom pages, widgets, forms, and user interfaces.

Work with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related technologies.

Configure reports, dashboards, roles, profiles, permissions, and sharing rules.

Debug and maintain applications, scripts, workflows, and integrations.

Document configurations, functions, and technical dependencies.

API and Integration Responsibilities

Integrate Zoho applications with other Zoho products and external platforms.

Work with REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth, JSON, XML, and third-party systems.

Develop integrations with ERP, accounting, payment, e-commerce, communication, and other business platforms.

Troubleshoot authentication, synchronization, and API issues.

Testing and Project Delivery

Test workflows, scripts, functions, integrations, and applications before deployment.

Conduct unit testing and integration testing.

Support user acceptance testing and client demonstrations.

Resolve issues before presenting the solution to the client.

Complete tasks within agreed timelines and report risks or delays early.

Support implementation, training, go-live, and post-implementation activities.

Take ownership of assigned work from requirement understanding through final delivery.

Required Technical Skills The candidate should have practical knowledge or strong working ability in:

Zoho Deluge scripting

Zoho CRM customization

Zoho Creator development

Workflows, blueprints, approvals, validation rules, and custom functions

REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth, JSON, and XML

HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Database concepts and application architecture

Module and data relationships

Data import, export, transformation, and migration

Reports and dashboard development

Roles, profiles, permissions, and security

Testing, debugging, and troubleshooting

Knowledge of SQL, PHP, Python, Java, Node.js, or other development technologies will be an added advantage.

Educational and Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Applications, Electronics, or a related discipline.

Relevant experience in Zoho development, CRM implementation, ERP implementation, software consulting, or business application development is preferred.

Candidates with a strong Zoho portfolio and proven technical ability may also be considered.

Zoho certifications and client-facing implementation experience will be an added advantage.
