The Role :

We are looking for a hands-on Lead Engineer who has built an enterprise product from zero to one not just maintained one.

You will own delivery, architecture, and a small high-calibre team. You will be in the code, in the design reviews, and in the room where trade-offs get made. If you want a title without ownership, this is not the role. If you want to put your fingerprints on a platform that scales, read on.

What You Will Own :

Architecture & Engineering :

- Design and build backend services, APIs, API Gateway data schemas and data structures for a multi-tenant enterprise workflow automation platform.
- Own authentication and authorization end to end SSO/OAuth2/JWT, RBAC, Row-Level Security (RLS), tenant isolation.




- Drive data security posture: encryption at rest and in transit, secrets management, audit trails, least-privilege access.
- Make and defend architecture decisions; lead design and code reviews; set and enforce engineering best practices.
- Build for scale we have grown from hundreds to thousands of transactions a day and are not stopping.

AI & Agentic Integration :

- Integrate AI services into the product LLM APIs, agentic workflows, tool/function calling, RAG pipelines and multi-agent orchestration.
- Build agents that do not just answer, but execute driving real enterprise workflows end to end.
- Design safe, observable, cost-aware patterns for AI operating on sensitive enterprise data.

Platform & DevOps :

- Platform engineering and multi-cloud deployment (AWS / Azure) in partnership with DevOps.
- Containerised delivery, CI/CD, environment strategy, observability.

Delivery & Team :

- Work directly with the Product Owner to drive requirement clarity, prioritisation and task allocation.
- Own sprint delivery: break down scope, sequence work, unblock the team, ship on commitment.
- Mentor and grow engineers; raise the technical bar of everyone around you.
- Ruthlessly prioritise know what ships now, what waits, and why.

What We Are Looking For :

Must have :

- 6 - 8 years building production software, with proven depth in Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate and React.




- Demonstrated 0-to-1 platform build you have taken an enterprise-grade product from blank repo to live customers.
- Strong command of API design, data modelling, schemas and data structures.
- Real experience with multi-tenant architecture, RBAC, RLS and data security.
- Caching, Load balancing, Kafka / message queues in production.
- Multi-cloud deployment experience (AWS and/or Azure) and comfort working alongside DevOps.
- Track record of scaling a system from hundreds to thousands of transactions per day.
- Working knowledge of data, ETL and pipelines.
- Ability to integrate AI services and build agentic capabilities into a product.
- Genuine ownership you chase problems to closure without being asked.

Positive to have :

- Workflow automation, BPM or enterprise SaaS product experience.
- Financial services / fintech domain exposure.
- Banking integrations (payments, statements, host-to-host, APIs).
- Integration experience with SAP, ERP or CRM systems.

Education :

- BE / ME (or equivalent engineering degree) preferred.
- Candidates from premium institutes IIT, IIIT, NIT, BITS are a strong plus.
