Role & responsibilities
1. Welding Process Development.
2. Develop and validate welding procedures.
3. Coordinate all welding-related activities across production and construction operations.
4. Support internal and external quality audits (EN 3834-2 and ISO)
5. Select appropriate welding processes (MAG, TIG, Resistance spot and seam) based on material and application.
6. Define welding parameters (current, voltage, speed, shielding gas, etc.) for production stability.
7. Maintain welding documentation, WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications), and PQR (Procedure Qualification Records).
8. Coordinate with welder qualification and certification activities.
9. Maintain records of welder qualifications and training.
10. Conduct weld trials, qualification tests, and destructive/non-destructive testing.
11. Automation & Robotics Integration
12. Work with robotic welding systems (e.g., Yaskawa, ABB, FANUC, KUKA or similar platforms).
13. Support programming and optimization of welding robots and welding cells.
14. Collaborate with automation engineers to design fixtures, jigs, and tooling for robotic welding.
15. Troubleshoot issues in automated welding lines and improve cycle time.
16. Quality & Inspection in all satages.
17. Ensure weld quality meets ISO / AWS / customer specifications.
18. Perform weld inspection using Visual inspection, Dye penetrant, Pressure test, etc.

Maintain welding documentation, qualification records, inspection reports, and traceability records
20. Analyze weld defects (porosity, cracks, distortion) and implement corrective actions.
21. Provide technical support to production teams for welding-related issues and Improve productivity, reduce rework and scrap rates.
22. Participate in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
23. Ensure compliance with welding safety standards and PPE requirements.
Preferred candidate profile Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering with 6+ years of experience in welding engineering (sheet metal environment & Robotic and Automation preferred).
Or
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 10–15+ years of experience in welding engineering (sheet metal environment & Robotic and Automation preferred).
Solid knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes.
Hands-on experience with robotic welding systems and automation lines.
Familiarity with welding standards (AWS, ISO 3834, ASME, EN standards, etc.).
Experience with welding inspection and quality control methods.
Required Personal Certifications:
1. ASNT NDT Level 2 in (VT, PT, UT, RT, and MPT) or ISO 9712 Level 2 in (VT, PT, UT, RT, and MPT).
2. IWE (International Welding Engineer)
3. ISO 14731 Welding Coordination Personnel Certificate.
