Hero Motors Limited is a part of Hero Motors Company (HMC), a diversified conglomerate with a
presence in cycles, automotive components, e-Mobility, real estate and premium retail, with a
group revenue of USD 500 million (approx.). Hero Cycles Ltd., the flagship company of HMC is
the oldest and the largest cycle company in the Indian subcontinent.

Hero Motors Limited (HML) is the automotive businesses of the HMC group with operations in
Asia and Europe and several joint ventures with reputed companies in the automotive and e-
mobility space. HML comprises of 3 business verticals, namely Gears & Transmission (we do
business with BMW, Ducati etc) Bike Powertrain (making CVT engines for the European market),
Alloys & Metallics (working with clients like the Indian Railways and other eminent companies in
India). The joint ventures companies are in the space of chassis systems (ZF-Hero), brake discs
& drums (Munjal Kiriu) and hub motors (Hero Yamaha)

HML's latest division, Bike Powertrain is expanding into current product segments like EV Motors &
E-Drive Systems, under the brand name of ESYNC. Under the ESYNC brand the company
develops complete e-bike systems for the European and for other key emerging markets. The
joint venture with Yamaha has enabled HML to develop state-of-the-art e-bike HUB motors.

Roles & responsibilities
To lead all Human Resources and industrial Relations functions at the plant, ensuring a
productive, engaged and compliant workforce while maintaining harmonious industrial relations
and supporting plant performance objectives

Develop and maintain positive relations with Unions, employee representatives and
workmen
Lead wage settlements and negotiations
Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters and dispute resolution
Manage disciplinary proceedings
Prevent and resolve industrial disputes, strikes, work stoppages and labour unrest
Liaise with labour authorities, government authorities and union leaders
Handle manpower planning, recruitment, onboarding
Payroll management
Manage contract labour administration and compliance
Handle performance management
Work closely with EHS team to promote workforce safety
Support safety training, awareness programs and compliance initiatives
Participate in accident investigations and corrective action planning
Ensure compliance with labour laws, factory regulations and social security requirements
Handle employee engagement and welfare
