Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Web Development Mentor to deliver practical, industry-oriented online training to students. The mentor will be responsible for teaching core web development concepts, providing hands-on coding experience, guiding students through projects, and preparing them for internships and entry-level job opportunities.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of frontend and backend web development , along with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and mentor students with different levels of programming knowledge.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Deliver engaging and structured live online sessions on Web Development.
- Teach web development concepts through practical coding exercises and real-world examples.
- Cover the complete curriculum within the scheduled course duration and allotted sessions.
- Train students in frontend development using:
- HTML5
- CSS3
- JavaScript
- Responsive Web Design
- Bootstrap or other relevant frontend frameworks
- Introduce students to modern frontend development tools and frameworks such as:
- React.js or an equivalent framework
- Git and GitHub
- Provide basic backend development exposure using relevant technologies such as:
- Node.js and Express.js
- REST APIs
- Database fundamentals
- MongoDB, MySQL, or equivalent databases
- Guide students in building responsive, user-friendly, and functional web applications.
- Provide hands-on guidance using relevant coding tools,



development environments, and open-source technologies.
- Assign coding exercises, practical tasks, and assessments.
- Assign one Minor Project and one Major Project based on real-world use cases.
- Guide students throughout the project development process, including planning, coding, testing, debugging, deployment, and documentation.
- Review student assignments and projects and provide constructive feedback.
- Conduct doubt-clearing sessions and provide technical support where required.
- Guide students in using GitHub to maintain and showcase their projects.
- Provide basic guidance on project deployment using suitable free or open-source platforms.
- Conduct placement-oriented sessions, including technical interview preparation and mock interviews.
- Guide students in preparing professional resumes and optimizing their LinkedIn profiles.
- Suggest relevant technical skills and industry keywords to improve profile visibility and job shortlisting opportunities.
- Coordinate with the operations team regarding class schedules, attendance, student progress, assignments, and course completion.
- Ensure professional conduct during all classes and student interactions.

Required Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience in responsive web design.
- Knowledge of React.js or another modern frontend framework.
- Understanding of backend development using Node.js, Express.js, or equivalent technologies.
- Knowledge of REST APIs and database integration.
- Familiarity with MongoDB,



MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar databases.
- Experience with Git and GitHub.
- Knowledge of debugging, testing, and web application deployment.
- Ability to develop and explain end-to-end web development projects.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Prior experience as a Web Developer, Software Developer, Technical Trainer, Faculty Member, or Mentor.
- Experience in developing and deploying real-world web applications.
- Previous experience in online teaching or student mentoring is preferred.
