Automation Senior Test Engineer / Lead Test Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Playwright, Selenium, Java, and AWS. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust automation frameworks, ensuring high-quality software delivery across web, API, and cloud-based applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright and Selenium WebDriver.
- Develop automated test scripts using Java for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Create and execute test cases for web applications, APIs, and microservices.
- Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
- Perform API testing using Rest Assured, Postman, or equivalent tools.
- Execute cross-browser and cross-platform testing.
- Work closely with Development, Product, QA, and DevOps teams in Agile environments.
- Analyze test execution results, identify defects, and collaborate with teams for resolution.
- Participate in automation framework enhancements and test strategy discussions.
- Ensure automation coverage across cloud-hosted applications running on AWS.

Required Skills

- 712 years of experience in QA Automation / SDET roles.




- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and Selenium WebDriver.
- Excellent programming skills in Java.
- Experience with automation frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, or BDD frameworks like Cucumber.
- Strong knowledge of API Automation Testing using Rest Assured or Postman.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, or API Gateway.
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of Git, Maven/Gradle, and version control best practices.
- Valuable understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or Selenium Grid.
- Exposure to performance and security testing.
- Knowledge of SQL and database validation.
- Experience working in cloud-native or microservices-based architectures.

Education

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Nice to Have

- Experience leading automation initiatives and mentoring junior engineers.
- Exposure to modern testing practices including Playwright migration from Selenium.
- Experience in Banking, FinTech, E-commerce, or Enterprise applications.
