Position Summary:

We are seeking a Transport Engineer to work on medium- to large-scale urbanism projects. The role focuses on the planning, design, and evaluation of urban transport systems, street networks, and mobility infrastructure for public realm projects. The Transport Engineer will collaborate with urban planners, designers, architects, public authorities, and consultants to deliver safe, effective, inclusive, and future-ready transport solutions that balance vehicular movement with pedestrian, cycling, and public transport needs, in accordance with applicable standards.

Responsibilities:

- Design for All Modes: Collaborate on street layouts, junctions, and public spaces that balance vehicular flow with the safety of pedestrians and cyclists.
- Lane and Junction Design: Develop lane and junction designs using traffic data and site observations, ensuring compliance with applicable geometric design standards.
- Support Larger Urban Plans: Provide mobility strategies for Local Area Plans (LAPs), Development Plans, and Town Planning Schemes, including traffic assessments, road hierarchies, and transit integration.
- Enhance Public Spaces: Plan access, circulation, and safety for riverfronts, waterfronts, and major public destinations.
- Right-Size Infrastructure: Advise when larger interventions, such as flyovers, underpasses, or intermodal hubs,



are necessary and ensure they enhance urban quality.
- Integrate Public and Active Transport: Recommend routes, hubs, and connections that support public transport and non-motorized travel.
- Future-Ready Solutions: Introduce sustainable mobility concepts, EV infrastructure, and smart transport systems.
- Communicate Clearly: Translate technical findings into practical, people-focused design recommendations for internal teams and external stakeholders.

Education:

- Master’s degree in Transportation Engineering or Civil Engineering with a specialization in Transportation.

Experience:

- Years: 2 to 3 years
- Industry: Transportation Engineering / Urban Mobility / Infrastructure Planning.

Skills (Mandatory):

- Proficiency in AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and MS Office.
- Ability to interpret traffic data, drawings, and transport studies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong coordination and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to take initiative and manage assignments through the full project lifecycle.
- Effective time and priority management skills.

Skills (Preferred):

- Working knowledge of Civil 3D.
- Exposure to traffic modeling and analysis tools.
- Understanding of Indian Roads Congress (IRC) standards and urban street design guidelines.
- Knowledge of sustainable transport, complete streets, and transit-oriented development principles.
