Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Solar Site Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Solar Site Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of solar photovoltaic (PV) projects from initial site assessment and design through to installation, commissioning, and handover. This role requires a strong understanding of solar PV systems, electrical engineering principles, project management, and a commitment to quality and safety standards. The successful candidate will ensure that all solar installations are executed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with design specifications and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive site surveys, feasibility studies, and resource assessments to determine optimal solar PV system layouts and specifications.
- Perform detailed technical design of solar PV systems, including module layout, inverter sizing, cable routing, protection devices, and grounding systems, using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, PVsyst).
- Prepare and review technical drawings, schematics, bills of materials, and other project documentation.
- Ensure all designs and installations comply with local electrical codes, building regulations,



and renewable energy standards.
- Supervise and inspect the work of installation teams and subcontractors on-site, ensuring adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Provide technical guidance and support to installation crews, resolving any in office technical challenges or design discrepancies.
- Conduct quality control checks and inspections at various stages of the project lifecycle, from material delivery to final installation.
- Perform system commissioning, performance testing, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal operation and energy output.
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth project execution and timely completion.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, progress updates, and as-built documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals, technical specifications, and tender documents.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in solar technology, industry best practices, and relevant regulations.
