Job Title: VMware Administrator / VMware Engineer

Experience: 4–10+ Years

Location: PAN India / Chennai / Bangalore (as applicable)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced VMware Administrator to design, deploy, manage, and optimize enterprise virtualization infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, virtualization technologies, storage, networking, and disaster recovery solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, configure, and administer VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter environments.
- Manage virtual machines, clusters, resource pools, datastores, and templates.
- Configure and maintain HA, DRS, vMotion, Storage vMotion, and Fault Tolerance.
- Perform VMware upgrades, patching, lifecycle management, and capacity planning.
- Monitor infrastructure performance and troubleshoot VMware, storage, and networking issues.
- Manage SAN, NAS, and vSAN storage integration.
- Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
- Automate routine administrative tasks using PowerCLI, PowerShell, or scripting.




- Work with Windows/Linux server teams and infrastructure teams for issue resolution.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and operational runbooks.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP-DCV) certification is preferred.
- Solid troubleshooting and communication skills.
