Brief About WordPress Full Stack Developer

NexGen is looking to hire a WordPress Backend Developer (min. 1 – 4 years experience) with experience in developing WordPress, WooCommerce, and PHP-based websites.

Responsibilities and Duties:

The candidate will be responsible for the following activities on an ongoing basis:

- Back-end development of various kinds of static and dynamic websites and portals in WordPress
- Back-end development of WooCommerce based E-commerce themes
- PHP and PHP MVC frameworks based wordPress plugin development
- Provide technical solutions using these platforms to various business problems
- Learning and adapting to current technologies and skills
- Coordinating with clients for various project updates and clarifications
- Maintaining the existing websites.

Backend Skills (Must)

- MySQL – Joins, SubQueries, Aliasing
- WordPress – template hierarchy, hooks, actions, wooCommerce theme development
- Core PHP OOPS
- Github (basic operations – push, pull, checkout, merge & manage conflicts in branches)

Frontend Skills (Must)

- HTML5, CSS3, JS, Angular JS
- Bootstrap, Jquery
- Ajax, JSON
- SASS
- NPM

Required experience, skills, and qualifications:

- Min. 1 year of relevant experience in WordPress, WooCommerce, and PHP is a must
- Theme customization and creating themes from scratch using a UI design
- WordPress Plugins Installation and customization
- Custom WordPress plugins development
- Payment Gateway, Shipping, and Taxes integration and setup for eCommerce websites using WooCommerce




- Strong experience and knowledge of PHP, MVC frameworks wordPress, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, etc.
- Huge plus if you also have experience in any other platforms like Magento, Shopify, Any MVC Framework in PHP, Joomla OR front-end technologies like Angular JS, React, etc.
- Education Diploma, B.E. / B.Tech. (any specialization) / M.C.A.
- You must have developed 1-3 themes at least from scratch without any help from others.
- the strong concept of WordPress & woo-commerce hooks
- Speed Optimisation concepts while developing the theme.

Other Important Points

- We are not hiring anyone who has strong experience in PHP but doesn’t have knowledge about wordPress development. As he/she has to work on an ongoing project from day 1 without anyone’s help.
- No Fresher is allowed or less experience person is allowed. You can check other internship positions for similar posts.
- Candidate must not be more than 30 min traveling distance from Dwarka Mor or ready to re-locate nearby at his own cost.
- Delhi-based candidates living with families are on top priority.
- No experience letter will be issued if the candidate leaves the company before 1 year of joining.
- Joining will be in office. we are not looking for remote joining right now.
- The candidate must not be over experienced max 5 years that we are hiring for this position.
