Job Description
Role Summary -
The Salesforce Architect owns the end-to-end architecture, technical leadership, and governance of the Salesforce ecosystem — spanning Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Field Service, Experience Cloud partner portals, MuleSoft integrations, SAP ERP connectivity, and digital platforms. Acting as platform custodian, this role drives scalability, security, performance, and adherence to enterprise architecture standards while remaining hands-on to guide and elevate development teams.
Key Responsibilities -
1. Platform Architecture
- Define Salesforce architecture and roadmap across Sales, Service, Field Service, and Partner Portal.
- Design scalable, secure solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and Salesforce best practices.
- Guide teams on declarative vs. programmatic solution trade-offs.
2. Hands-On Development & Technical Leadership
- Develop and maintain Apex, LWC, and integrations as needed.
- Conduct code reviews; enforce coding standards, design patterns, and governor limit compliance.
- Guide teams on efficient Apex, SOQL, and reusable component design.
3. Code Quality & Coverage Governance
- Define and enforce unit testing standards, code coverage thresholds, and test automation practices.
- Review and approve critical code changes and architectural components.
- Implement static code analysis and automated quality tools.
4. Platform Health & Optimization
- Monitor API usage, governor limits, integration failures, batch jobs, and Apex errors.
- Establish performance monitoring dashboards and proactively resolve bottlenecks.
- Drive platform optimization and long-term sustainability initiatives.
5. Integration Architecture
- Design and govern API-led integrations with resilient error handling and retry mechanisms.
- Establish API standards, versioning strategies, and event-driven architecture patterns.
6. Data Architecture & Governance
- Design enterprise Salesforce data models with Salesforce–SAP alignment.
- Address large data volume (LDV) considerations and define strategies for data sync, quality, and lifecycle.
7. DevOps & Release Governance
- Architect CI/CD pipelines, release management, environment strategies, and automated testing.
- Experience with Copado or equivalent DevOps platforms preferred.
8. Security & Compliance
- Implement role hierarchy, permission models, field-level security, and data encryption.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise cybersecurity policies.

- 10–15+ years of overall IT experience; 8–10+ years on the Salesforce platform.
- Proven delivery of large-scale, enterprise Salesforce implementations.
- Hands-on experience leading multi-cloud Salesforce environments and complex integrations.
