Job Description: Sales Associate

Working Days: 6 Days a Week
Working Hours: 9 / 12 Hours Shift

Eligibility

- Qualification: SSC / HSC
- Experience: Minimum 2 Years in Sales / Retail
- Age: 22 – 25 Years
- Gender: Male / Female

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Customer Service

Manage customer relations to ensure sales growth through repeat business and new customer acquisition.

- Greet customers when they enter the store.
- Offer baskets to customers for shopping convenience.
- Assist customers across different sections of the store.
- Provide accurate information about available products.
- Inform customers about special offers and promotions.
- Provide correct pricing information for products.
- Listen to customers and handle queries or requests effectively.
- Handle customer complaints at a primary level and escalate major issues to the Store Manager.
- Conduct product sampling to encourage purchase.
- Build relationships with customers to encourage repeat visits.

2. Product Management

Ensure product availability and quality standards are maintained.

- Ensure products are always available on shelves as per display guidelines.
- Coordinate with the packaging team for proper product packing and shelf placement.
- Ensure all products have barcodes, labels, and correct pricing.
- Follow FIFO (First In – First Out) for stock management.
- Coordinate with vendors/suppliers and avoid overstocking.




- Ensure no expired products are displayed on shelves.
- Segregate expired products and manage vendor exchange where applicable.
- Periodically check product quality (taste, smell, and appearance).
- Manage ordering for assigned product sections.

3. People & Store Operations

Ensure smooth store operations and high customer satisfaction.

- Ensure team members follow company processes and standards.
- Ensure team members remain on the floor assisting customers.
- Maintain section cleanliness and follow the cleaning schedule.
- Communicate operational issues to the Store Manager.
- Share ideas and strategies to improve business performance.
- Participate in team meetings and store huddles.
- Assist in training new associates to perform their tasks effectively.
