Medical Transcription or Medical Typist. It involves listening to voice recordings dictated by doctors and typing them into accurate patient medical records, such as discharge summaries, diagnostic reports, and clinical histories.

Hospital MT roles requires:

- Medical Knowledge: Familiarity with anatomy and medical terminology.
- Typing Speed: Usually 60+ words per minute.
- Software Skills: Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Hospital Management Systems (HMS).

Key Responsibilities

- Transcribe and edit medical reports dictated by doctors and healthcare professionals.
- Prepare accurate discharge summaries, operative notes, consultation reports, diagnostic reports, and clinical documentation.
- Review and proofread transcribed reports for grammar, clarity, completeness, and accuracy.
- Ensure proper usage of medical terminology, abbreviations, and clinical language.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with hospital policies and applicable regulations.




- Coordinate with clinicians and departments for clarification of unclear dictations or incomplete information.
- Maintain and update electronic medical records and documentation systems.

Eligibility Criteria

- Graduate in any discipline.
- Freshers with relevant training may also be considered.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and clinical procedures.
- Good English listening, comprehension, grammar, and typing skills.
- Typing speed over 30 WPS
- Proficiency in transcription software and MS Office applications.
- Valuable understanding of healthcare documentation standards and EMR systems.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
