Key Responsibilities

- Narrative Editing: Edit long-form and short-form video essays based on voice-over tracks, scripts, and production briefs.
- Visual Storytelling & B-Roll Sourcing: Find, select, and seamlessly integrate high-quality stock footage, archival clips, relevant news snippets, and images that accurately represent the script.
- Audio Enhancement: Clean, mix, and balance voice-over tracks with background music and sound effects (SFX) to build tension, emphasis, and emotional resonance.
- Motion Graphics & Typography: Create engaging text animations, lower thirds, call-outs, and maps to explain complex data, legal points, or timelines clearly.
- Pacing & Retention: Optimize video pacing specifically for digital audiences to maximize watch time and viewer retention.
- Thumbnail Collaboration: Assist in selecting high-impact frames or designing visual assets to support the creation of compelling YouTube thumbnails.
- Format Optimization: Deliver content in multiple formats—primarily high-quality horizontal videos for YouTube, alongside vertical cuts (Shorts/Reels) for social media cross-promotion.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in industry-standard editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.



Experience with Adobe After Effects for motion graphics is a strong plus.
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience editing videos for digital media portals, documentary channels, or high-engagement YouTube channels (experience with faceless/voice-over-driven formats is highly preferred).
- Visual Continuity: A strong eye for composition, color correction, and grading to ensure a polished, professional look across all videos.
- Sound Design: Basic sound editing skills to ensure crisp voice clarity and impactful use of background scores.
- Language & Context: Positive understanding of Hindi and English to ensure the visual assets align perfectly with the nuances of the voice-over commentary.
- Efficiency: Ability to work against editorial calendars and deliver high-quality cuts within tight journalistic deadlines.
