Job Role: Phlebotomist
Location: Mangalore, Udupi, Puttur, Manipal & Kundapura
Job Type: Full-time

Job Summary:
A Phlebotomist is responsible for drawing blood samples from patients for uric acid testing, donations, or research. They ensure proper patient identification, follow safety protocols, and handle blood specimens correctly to maintain sample integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Draw blood samples from patients, donors, or clients using venipuncture or other techniques for testing uric acid.
2. Properly identify patients and label specimens to prevent mix-ups.
3. Prepare blood samples for laboratory analysis, ensuring proper handling and storage.
4. Explain procedures to patients, helping them feel comfortable and addressing concerns.
5. Follow strict hygiene and infection control procedures to prevent contamination.
6. Maintain phlebotomy equipment, ensuring cleanliness and functionality.
7. Enter patient data into electronic health records (EHR) or lab systems.
8. Assist with administrative tasks related to specimen collection and processing.
9. Follow healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA standards.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

- Education: DMLT / BMLT / MLT, certification in phlebotomy preferred (e.g.,



CPT – Certified Phlebotomy Technician).
- Experience: Freshers with internship knowledge and candidates having experience up to 2 years are welcome
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in venipuncture techniques and blood collection procedures.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately label and handle specimens.
- Communication Skills: Ability to interact professionally with patients and medical staff.
- Compassion & Patience: Ability to ease patient anxiety, especially for those afraid of needles.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and handle multiple patients daily.

Work Setting:

- Work settings include hospitals, clinics, diagnostic laboratories, and blood donation centers.
- May involve working early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- On-job training for using machine will be provided

Pay: 14,000 - 17,000 per month
