Role Overview:

We are looking for a highly experienced Vice President Engineering to lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade digital platforms and applications for Bajaj Capitals financial services business. The role requires strong collaboration with business stakeholders to understand strategic and operational requirements and translate them into scalable, secure, and high-performing technology solutions.

The ideal candidate should have deep hands-on expertise in modern application architecture, engineering leadership, cloud-native technologies, and enterprise delivery practices.

Experience in BFSI, wealth management, insurance, lending, or investment platforms is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Business &

- Technology Leadership:
- Partner with business leaders, operations teams, and product stakeholders to understand business requirements and define technology roadmaps.
- Drive end-to-end engineering execution from requirement analysis, architecture design, development, testing, deployment, and production rollout.
- Align engineering initiatives with business goals, operational priorities, and customer experience objectives.
- Lead digital transformation initiatives across financial services applications and platforms.

Engineering &

- Solution Architecture:
- Define scalable, secure, and high-availability application architectures for enterprise platforms.
- Lead architecture reviews, technology selection, integration strategies, and modernization initiatives.
- Drive adoption of cloud-native engineering practices, microservices, APIs, automation, and DevOps.
- Ensure engineering standards for performance, scalability, maintainability, security, and compliance.
- Oversee integration with internal systems, third-party financial systems, and regulatory platforms.





Team Leadership &

- Delivery Management:
- Build, mentor, and lead high-performing engineering teams across application development, QA, DevOps, and support functions.
- Establish strong engineering governance, Agile delivery processes, and release management practices.
- Drive execution excellence through sprint planning, prioritization, delivery tracking, and stakeholder communication.
- Ensure timely delivery of multiple concurrent programs and strategic technology initiatives.

Stakeholder &

- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Act as primary technology interface for business teams and senior management.
- Collaborate with product, operations, compliance, security, and infrastructure teams for seamless execution.
- Present technology strategies, delivery updates, risks, and investment plans to leadership stakeholders.

Risk, Security &

- Compliance:
- Ensure applications comply with security, audit, governance, and regulatory requirements applicable to BFSI organizations.
- Drive implementation of secure coding practices, disaster recovery, observability, and operational resilience.
- Ensure adherence to data privacy, cybersecurity, and regulatory standards including RBI, SEBI, IRDAI, and related frameworks.

Must-Have Skills &

- Experience:

Experience:

- 15 years of experience in software engineering with at least 58 years in engineering leadership roles.
- Strong experience delivering enterprise applications and large-scale digital platforms.
- Experience managing engineering teams across architecture, backend, frontend, QA, DevOps,



and support.
- Strong exposure to BFSI domain including wealth management, lending, insurance, broking, or investment platforms preferred.

Technical Expertise:

- Strong understanding of modern application architectures including microservices, APIs, distributed systems, and event-driven systems.
- Experience in leading development with AI tool and techniques for faster delivery.
- Hands-on understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP and modern DevOps practices.
- Experience with enterprise integration patterns, API gateways, authentication, and security frameworks.
- Robust knowledge of databases, data architecture, system scalability, and performance optimization.
- Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, monitoring, and observability tools.

Leadership &

- Process Skills:
- Strong people leadership, mentoring, and organizational management capabilities.
- Experience driving Agile delivery models and engineering governance frameworks.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to manage budgets, vendor relationships, and technology planning.

Good-to-Have / Plus:

- Experience in digital transformation initiatives within financial services organizations.
- Exposure to fintech ecosystems, digital onboarding, KYC, CRM, transaction systems, and customer servicing platforms.
- Experience with analytics, AI/ML-driven platforms, workflow automation, and data engineering ecosystems.
- Exposure to enterprise architecture frameworks and cybersecurity governance.
- Cloud, Agile, TOGAF, PMP, or enterprise architecture certifications are a plus.

Education:

- B.Tech / B.E. / MCA / MBA (Systems/IT) or equivalent technical degree preferred.
- Candidates with strong engineering leadership experience and proven enterprise delivery track record are encouraged to apply.
