Position Overview Maison No.3 is seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and user-centred UI/UX Design Intern to support the design and development of exceptional digital experiences.
Serving internally as an Experience Design Intern, this role extends beyond creating visually appealing interfaces. The successful candidate will contribute to designing intuitive, accessible, and meaningful user experiences across websites, applications, landing pages, and digital products developed by the House. Working alongside strategists, developers, brand designers, and marketers, the intern will participate in research, wireframing, interface design, prototyping, usability testing, and design system development while gaining practical exposure to premium digital product design.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems through design, understands the importance of user behaviour, and believes that simplicity, functionality, and aesthetics should exist in perfect balance.
Success in This Role The successful candidate will: Design intuitive and visually refined user interfaces.
Translate business objectives into user-centred digital experiences.
Contribute to scalable design systems and component libraries.
Collaborate effectively with developers and cross-functional teams.
Deliver organised, developer-friendly design files.
Continuously improve design quality through research, testing, and iteration.
Demonstrate curiosity, creativity, ownership, and attention to detail. Areas of Responsibility User Research Conduct user research, competitor analysis, heuristic reviews, and design inspiration studies.
Develop user personas, user journeys, and information architecture.
Identify opportunities to improve usability and user satisfaction. Wireframing & Experience Design Create user flows,
low-fidelity wireframes, and interaction concepts.
Design logical navigation systems and intuitive information structures.
Translate business requirements into seamless user experiences.
User Interface Design
Design responsive interfaces for: Websites || Landing Pages || Dashboards || Mobile Applications || Web Applications || Internal Systems
Maintain visual consistency across all digital experiences.
Apply typography, colour systems, spacing, hierarchy, accessibility, animations and interaction principles. Prototyping & Testing Develop interactive prototypes using industry-standard tools.
Participate in usability testing and design reviews.
Incorporate user feedback into iterative design improvements.
Design Systems Assist in building and maintaining: Component Libraries || UI Kits || Style Guides || Design Tokens || Interaction Patterns || Annimations
Ensure consistency across all Maison No.3 digital products. Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with: Brand Strategy || Graphic Design || Web Development || Marketing || Content || SEO
Prepare organised design handoff documentation for developers.
Support implementation during development.
Design
Quality & Optimisation Review completed interfaces for consistency and usability.
Maintain organised Figma files and design documentation.
Stay updated with emerging UX trends, accessibility standards, and digital product best practices.
Essential Qualifications Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Information Technology, Multimedia, or a related discipline.
Strong understanding of UI and UX fundamentals.
Working knowledge of Figma.
Understanding of responsive design principles.
Familiarity with typography, layout, spacing, colour theory, and visual hierarchy.
Basic understanding of usability and accessibility principles.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Preferred Attributes
Portfolio demonstrating UI/UX projects.
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools.
Basic understanding of HTML,
CSS, and front-end development workflows.
Interest in luxury, premium, fashion, lifestyle, hospitality, or consumer brands.
Strong visual design sensibility.
Curiosity and willingness to learn.
Ability to accept and apply constructive feedback.
