We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented News Editor to oversee news content, manage editorial quality, and ensure timely publication of accurate, engaging, and well-structured stories. The ideal candidate should have strong news judgment, excellent language skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

- Edit, proofread, and improve news articles for clarity, accuracy, grammar, and style.
- Verify facts, sources, headlines, captions, and key details before publication.
- Assign stories to reporters and coordinate with the editorial team.
- Monitor breaking news and ensure timely updates across platforms.
- Write headlines, summaries, and social media-friendly copies.
- Maintain editorial standards, legal accuracy, and ethical reporting practices.
- Plan daily news coverage and identify important stories for publication.
- Work with design, video, and social media teams for multimedia news presentation.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, English, Political Science,



or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in news editing, reporting, or digital journalism.
- Strong command of Hindi/English, depending on publication requirement.
- Good understanding of current affairs, politics, local news, business, entertainment, or assigned beat.
- Ability to work quickly and accurately under deadline pressure.
- Knowledge of CMS, SEO basics, social media platforms, and digital publishing.
- Robust headline writing and fact-checking skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in digital newsrooms.
- Knowledge of Google Trends, analytics tools, and keyword-based news writing.
- Ability to handle breaking news and live updates.
- Understanding of media laws, defamation, copyright, and election-related reporting rules.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
