Avaap is seeking a highly skilled Workday Technical Consultant to join our Avaap Center of Excellence (ACE) team. This role focuses on delivering innovative technical solutions across the Workday platform including Workday Extend, Workday Integrations, Workday Studio, Workday Reporting, and BIRT reporting.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience developing solutions across the Workday technical stack, partnering closely with functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable and effective technical solutions.

While Workday Extend development will be a key focus area, candidates with strong experience in Workday Integrations, Workday Reporting, BIRT reporting, APIs, and broader Workday technical architecture will be highly valued.

This role supports enterprise organizations and public sector clients across industries including Higher Education, Government, and regulated organizations.

Responsibilities

Workday Extend Development

- Lead design sessions and technical solutioning for new Workday Extend applications.

- Design, build, test, and deploy applications using Workday Extend frameworks, APIs, and development tools.

- Develop scalable solutions that extend Workday functionality through custom applications, workflows, and integrations.

- Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Workday Integration Development

- Design and build integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Document Transformation (DT), Core Connectors, and Cloud Connect.

- Develop integrations using Workday REST and SOAP APIs.

- Support inbound and outbound integrations across HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Financials, Procurement, and Student modules.

- Leverage Extend applications where appropriate to streamline integration processes.

Workday Reporting & Data Solutions

- Develop Advanced, Matrix, and Composite reports within Workday.





- Build and maintain BIRT reports for operational and transactional reporting needs.

- Support analytics initiatives through Workday reporting and data modeling tools.

- Partner with stakeholders to design reporting solutions that support data-driven decision making.

Technical Troubleshooting & Support

- Troubleshoot issues across Extend applications, integrations, and reporting solutions.

- Provide technical support for production environments and ongoing AMS engagements.

- Assist with deployment, migration, and release management activities.

Security & Business Process Alignment

- Design solutions aligned with Workday security frameworks including ISU, ISSG, and domain security.

- Ensure technical solutions align with Workday business process frameworks and governance standards.

- Support migration and deployment using Object Transporter and Workday migration strategies.

Innovation & Solution Development

- Contribute to Avaap’s innovation initiatives leveraging Extend, integrations, and reporting technologies.

- Develop reusable accelerators and technical assets within the Avaap Center of Excellence.

- Support new technical solution offerings for Higher Education and Government clients.

Experience

Certification(s)

- Workday Extend Certification required

- Workday Integration Certification preferred

- Workday Studio certification preferred

- Workday Reporting or Prism certification a plus

Experience





- Hands-on experience developing Workday Extend applications in production environments.

- Experience building Workday integrations using Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and APIs.

- Experience developing Workday reports and BIRT reports.

- Experience working across HCM, Payroll, Financials, Procurement, or Student modules.

- Experience supporting AMS / Phase X / post-production environments preferred.

- Experience supporting Higher Education or Government clients is desirable.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be willing to work 1 PM – 10 PM IST
