Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Engineer with a strong background in sheet metal components and automotive manufacturing processes. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring product quality, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes and systems.
- Lead quality planning activities including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and Control Plans.
- Ensure compliance with automotive quality standards such as IATF 16949.
- Monitor production processes for sheet metal components to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Handle customer complaints and coordinate with cross-functional teams for resolution.
- Perform internal audits and support external audits (customer and certification bodies).
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Manage supplier quality and conduct supplier audits and evaluations.




- Review engineering drawings, GD&T;, and ensure proper inspection methods are followed.

Required Skills & Competencies:

- Strong knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing processes (stamping, bending, welding).
- Expertise in automotive quality tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA.
- Familiarity with GD&T; and engineering drawings.
- Hands-on experience with quality inspection tools and techniques.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in quality documentation and reporting.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5–10+ years of experience in quality engineering within the automobile/sheet metal industry.
- Certification in Six Sigma (Green Belt/Black Belt) is preferred.
- Lead Auditor certification for IATF 16949 is an advantage.

Preferred Experience:

- Experience with OEMs or Tier-1/Tier-2 automotive suppliers.
- Exposure to new product development (NPD) and launch quality.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and quality management software.
