Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Travel Consultant role based in Mumbai.

The Travel

Consultant will assist customers in planning and booking domestic and international travel, including flights, hotels, tours, and ground transportation.

Responsibilities include understanding client preferences, preparing customized itineraries, providing fare and route options, and ensuring compliance with airline and visa requirements. The role involves using reservation and GDS systems, issuing tickets, handling changes and cancellations, and coordinating with airlines and suppliers for smooth travel arrangements.

The Travel

Consultant will also respond to inquiries, resolve travel-related issues, maintain accurate records,



and contribute to sales targets and customer retention through proactive service.

Qualifications

Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to understand client needs and provide clear, courteous guidance.

Experience in travel planning and itinerary creation, including booking flights, hotels, tours, and ground transport.

Proficiency with reservation systems and, ideally, Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Amadeus, Galileo, or Sabre.

Knowledge of airline fare rules, ticketing procedures, visa and travel documentation, and basic international travel regulations.

Solid organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in bookings and documentation.

Ability to work in a quick-paced environment, handle multiple requests, and solve problems under time constraints.

Sales orientation with basic understanding of travel products, packages, and upselling or cross-selling techniques.

Comfort with using computers, MS Office tools, and online travel platforms for research and booking.

Prior experience in a travel agency or tourism-related role is preferred; familiarity with airline and tour operator processes is an advantage.

Graduate degree or diploma in Tourism, Hospitality, Business, or a related field is beneficial.

Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and external partners while maintaining a professional and inclusive work ethic.
