Role Description The Textbook Author role at GDC is a full-time, in office position based in Prayagraj. The textbook author will develop clear, accurate, and student-friendly content for pharmacy and pharmaceutical science textbooks aligned with competitive exam syllabi and higher education requirements. Daily responsibilities include researching topics, outlining chapters, writing and revising manuscripts, creating practice questions and explanatory solutions, and collaborating with subject experts and editors to ensure academic quality.

The role also involves updating existing content to reflect current regulations, scientific advancements,



and examination patterns, as well as aligning materials with GDC’s pedagogical approach. The textbook author will contribute to building comprehensive learning resources that support students’ conceptual understanding and exam success.

Qualifications Strong subject-matter expertise in pharmacy or pharmaceutical sciences, preferably with a master’s degree or higher (e.g., M.Pharm, Ph.D.) and familiarity with GPAT/NIPER and related competitive exams.

Proficiency in academic and instructional writing, including the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and logically for learners at different levels.

Experience in curriculum design or content development for textbooks, study materials, or exam preparation resources.

Excellent attention to detail, including fact-checking, organization of content, and adherence to academic and ethical standards.

Ability to work on-site in Prayagraj and collaborate effectively with educators, editors, and the broader academic team.

Strong time-management skills and the ability to handle multiple writing projects and deadlines in a structured manner.

Comfort with using digital tools for document creation, revision, and collaboration; prior experience with educational technology platforms is an advantage.

Prior teaching, mentoring, or coaching experience in pharmacy or related competitive examinations is highly beneficial.
