Job Description

YOU MUST:

- Love cooking and creating easy, tasty dishes
- Be familiar with hygiene and food safety standards
- Be punctual, organized, and focused during kitchen operations
- Have the ability to multitask and deliver food on time
- Be friendly and respectful while engaging with guests and staff
- Be honest, disciplined, and maintain cleanliness at all times
- Be open to rotational shifts and weekly offs
- Be committed to teamwork and collaborative operations
- Be open to relocation across properties as per opportunity

YOU WILL:

- Report to the Property Manager
- Manage daily kitchen operations including food prep, cooking, and service
- Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen space at all times
- Coordinate meal timings with the team, especially for breakfast and evening specials
- Prepare food as per the decided menu and dietary requirements when needed
- Keep track of inventory, plan purchases, and minimize food waste
- Maintain kitchen records and follow Zostel’s food SOPs
- Assist in planning community meals, events, or barbeques occasionally




- Ensure compliance with all food handling and hygiene regulations

YOU ARE:

- Experienced in basic kitchen work, ideally in a hostel, café, or guest house setting
- A quick learner and comfortable preparing Indian and Continental basics
- A team player with a calm temperament, even during rush hours
- Able to manage inventory and maintain a clean cooking environment
- Communicative in basic English or Hindi

Join the Kitchen Team to prepare nourishing daily meals and occasional feasts, fueling the Zostel community. Your kitchen is the heart of the house. Experience preferred. This role is with the franchise partner, so all hiring, communication, and liabilities rest with them.
