CNC Milling Programmer – A skilled professional responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC milling machines to produce precision metal components in a manufacturing environment focused on metal job works and machining processes.

Job Responsibilities

Develop and program CNC mills using G-code and CAM software (e.g., Mastercam) based on engineering drawings and specifications.

Set up machines by installing tools, fixtures, and workpieces for productive metal machining.

Perform test runs, monitor production, and optimize programs for speed, accuracy, and minimal material waste.

Inspect finished parts using precision tools like micrometers and calipers to ensure quality and tolerances.

Troubleshoot machine issues, maintain equipment, and document programs for repeatability.

Adhere to safety standards and contribute to process improvements in metal fabrication.

Scope of Work

The role encompasses the full cycle of CNC milling operations for metal job works, including programming complex parts on 3-5 axis mills, handling various metals (e.g., steel, aluminum), achieving tight tolerances,



and supporting production from prototyping to high-volume manufacturing. It focuses on efficiency, quality control, and cost-effective machining within a manufacturing facility.

Need to Coordinate with All Departments

The CNC Milling Programmer must collaborate across departments for seamless operations:

Engineering/Design: Review blueprints and CAD models for accurate programming.

Production/Shop Floor: Work with operators to execute and refine jobs.

Quality Assurance: Verify parts meet standards and address defects.

Procurement: Coordinate tooling and material requirements.

Maintenance: Report equipment issues for timely repairs.

Management: Provide updates on production timelines, efficiencies, and improvements.
