Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Terraform Engineer at PPStack. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining Infrastructure as Code using Terraform across cloud environments to support PPStack’s learning platforms and digital services. Day-to-day responsibilities include authoring Terraform modules, managing state, optimizing infrastructure for reliability and cost, and integrating Terraform workflows with CI/CD pipelines.
The Terraform
Engineer collaborates with development, data, and platform teams to ensure secure, scalable, and compliant infrastructure, and participates in troubleshooting,
performance tuning, and automation initiatives. Documentation of infrastructure patterns, mentoring team members on Terraform best practices, and contributing to continuous improvement of DevOps processes are also core aspects of the role.
Qualifications
- Strong experience with Terraform (modules, state management, workspaces, providers) and Infrastructure as Code best practices.
- Hands-on skills in one or more major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), including networking, security, and core services.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools and workflows (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) and version control using Git.
- Solid understanding of DevOps concepts such as automation, monitoring, logging, and configuration management.
- Experience with scripting or programming languages commonly used in infrastructure (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and integrating these with Terraform-managed infrastructure.
- Familiarity with security and compliance practices (IAM, secrets management, policies, role-based access control) in cloud environments.
- Ability to write clear technical documentation and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience supporting SaaS, EdTech, or data-intensive platforms is a plus.
