An Assistant Manager in Accounts & Finance oversees daily accounting operations, ensures compliance with financial regulations, prepares financial reports, and supports strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

- Daily Accounting Operations: Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and vendor/customer reconciliations
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and management reports; conduct financial analysis to support strategic planning.
- Compliance & Audits: Ensure adherence to statutory regulations (Income Tax, GST, Companies Act) and internal policies; coordinate with auditors for internal and statutory audits .
- Cash Flow & Payments: Monitor cash flow, process vendor payments, and maintain payment schedules while ensuring tax compliance.




- Process Improvement: Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Team Management: Mentor and train junior accounting staff, oversee payroll processes, and ensure smooth departmental operations.
- Software & Tools: Work extensively with accounting software such as Tally ERP (mandatory) and ZOHO Books (preferred); proficiency in MS Excel for MIS and analysis reports
