About Tekfoods:

Tekfoods is a Kolkata based growing organization in the Rapid-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector. We pride ourselves on efficiency, quality, and financial integrity. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage our day-to-day financial transactions and ensure smooth accounting operations.

Location: Guwahati, Assam

Roles & responsibilities:

- Fleet & Driver Management: Oversee daily vehicle operations, driver schedules, safety compliance, vehicle maintenance, and fuel efficiency.
- Route & Schedule Optimization: Plan and map out optimal transit routes to ensure timely deliveries while minimizing fuel and operational costs.
- Carrier & Vendor Coordination: Negotiate rates, book third-party logistics (3PL) providers or local transport vendors, and maintain carrier relationships.
- Shipment & Trip Tracking: Monitor vehicles in real-time, track shipment statuses, and proactively resolve transit delays or breakdowns.
- Regulatory Compliance & Documentation: Ensure drivers and vehicles comply with transport laws, license requirements,



weight limits, transit permits, and safety regulations.
- Cost Control & Reporting: Track freight expenses, analyze transport KPIs, and implement strategies to reduce freight and handling costs.

Key Skills Required:

- Technical Transport: Management Systems (TMS), GPS tracking tools, route optimization software, MS Excel.
- Operational: Fleet routing, vendor negotiation, dispatch management, regulatory compliance.
- Soft Skils: Problem-solving under pressure, communication, time management, crisis management.

Education & Experience Requirements:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in any field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in fleet operations, freight forwarding, dispatching, or transportation execution.
