Position Summary

The Panel Saw & Edge Banding Operator is responsible for operating panel saw and edge banding machines to produce high-quality furniture components as per production drawings and cutting lists. The role requires accuracy, machine maintenance, adherence to production schedules, and compliance with safety standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesPanel Saw Operations

- Operate the panel saw machine to cut MDF, plywood, particle board, laminate, and other sheet materials.
- Read and understand production drawings and cutting lists.
- Ensure accurate dimensions and minimize material wastage.
- Inspect materials before cutting for defects or damage.
- Label and organize cut components for the next production stage.
- Maintain proper cutting sequence for maximum material utilization.

Edge Banding Operations

- Operate the automatic edge banding machine.
- Apply PVC, ABS, acrylic, or veneer edge bands as per production requirements.
- Set machine parameters including temperature, pressure, feed speed, and trimming.
- Inspect finished panels for proper edge adhesion and finish quality.
- Perform edge repairs and touch-ups when required.

Quality Control

- Verify dimensions using measuring tools.
- Ensure finished products meet company quality standards.
- Report defects or machine issues immediately.
- Maintain production accuracy with minimal rework.

Machine Maintenance

- Perform daily cleaning of machines.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance.
- Replace blades,



cutters, glue pots, and consumables as required.
- Report maintenance requirements to the Production Manager.

Safety & Housekeeping

- Follow all factory safety procedures.
- Wear required PPE while operating machines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area (5S practices).
- Handle materials safely to prevent damage and injuries.

Requirements

Education

- SSLC / ITI / Diploma (Preferred)

Experience

- 2–5 years in furniture manufacturing or modular furniture production.
- Experience operating Panel Saw and Edge Banding machines is mandatory.

Skills Required

- Knowledge of MDF, plywood, laminates, and hardware.
- Ability to read production drawings and cutting lists.
- Valuable measuring and cutting accuracy.
- Knowledge of machine settings and troubleshooting.
- Teamwork and time management.
- Ability to work under production targets.

Preferred Experience

- Experience in modular furniture manufacturing.
- Familiarity with CNC production workflow.
- Knowledge of production quality standards and factory safety procedures.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
