Education: BE, MSc, MCA, Computer Science or related discipline

- Cover all departments: Iron Making, Steel Melting, Rolling Mills, and Support Functions
- Review processes, operating models, and workforce deployment to identify optimization opportunities;
- Help Create & assess use cases on impact, cost, ROI, and risks
- Apply prioritization framework to evaluate use cases on productivity, feasibility, and value;
- Facilitate validation with stakeholders
- Define governance structures, roles, and responsibilities;
- Support technology identification
- Assess workforce readiness and challenges
- Valuable Communication and Documentation skill is must

1. Steel Industry Domain Knowledge (Core Technical)

- End-to-End Plant Knowledge: Functional understanding of integrated steel manufacturing—specifically Iron Making (Blast Furnace, Direct Reduced Iron), Steel Melting Shops (Basic Oxygen Furnace, Electric Arc Furnace), Rolling Mills (Hot/Cold Rolling Mills), and Support Functions (Utilities, Logistics, Maintenance).
- Process Engineering: Familiarity with yield optimization, throughput, bottleneck analysis, and energy efficiency in heavy manufacturing.

2. Operational Excellence & Process Transformation

- Business Process Mapping & Re-engineering (BPR): Expertise in AS-IS process mapping, TO-BE operating model design, and value stream mapping (VSM).
- Workforce Optimization:



Capacity planning, manpower productivity assessment, and workforce deployment modeling.
- Lean Six Sigma / Operational Frameworks: Proven capability in continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, DMAIC, Kaizen).

3. Strategy, Business Case Development & Finance

- Use Case Evaluation: Identifying digital/operational use cases and assessing them for feasibility, productivity impact, and operational risk.
- Financial Modeling: Calculating Return on Investment (ROI), Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), and payback periods for technology/process interventions.
- Prioritization Frameworks: Utilizing frameworks (e.g., Value vs. Complexity matrices) to sequence project roadmaps.

4. Governance & Technology Strategy

- Target Operating Model (TOM) & Governance: Defining organizational structures, KPIs, RACI matrices, and operational governance rules.
- Digital & Tech Identification: Understanding industrial software applications—Industry 4.0, MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), OT/IT integration, Advanced Analytics, or Process Automation.
- Organizational Change Management (OCM): Assessing workforce readiness, training gaps, adoption friction, and skill upskilling requirements.

5. Stakeholder Management & Soft Skills

- Stakeholder Management: Facilitating workshop/validation sessions with shop-floor teams, plant managers, and executive leadership (C-suite).
- Communication & Documentation: High proficiency in creating executive decks (PowerPoint), business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and strategic roadmaps.
